Fernando Confessore, veteran Argentine meteorologist, dies at 58

Argentine meteorologist and journalist Fernando Confessore has died at the age of 58. He passed away in the early hours of Friday at his home in the Versalles neighborhood of Buenos Aires following a sudden cardiac event.

Confessore was a prominent figure in Argentine media, having served as a weather presenter for Todo Noticias (TN) and El Trece for over three decades. His career included work with the National Meteorological Service and Artear. Beyond television, he was a researcher and educator, teaching meteorology at the Instituto Nacional de Aviación Civil.

Colleagues and family members have expressed profound grief. Mario Massaccesi, a fellow journalist at TN, announced the news on air, describing Confessore as an exceptional professional and a dedicated family man. A memorial service was held in Buenos Aires, attended by members of the journalistic and scientific communities.
