Metepec hosts 4th Pet Friendly Race

The 4th Pet Friendly Metepec Race 2026 took place in Metepec, Mexico, featuring participants, families, and pets. The event, which used Plaza Juárez as its starting and finishing point, offered 3-kilometer recreational routes and 5-kilometer competitive routes for both men and women, with and without animal companions.

Local officials, including Mayor Fernando Flores Fernández, participated in the event. Competitive winners included Víctor Gabriel Ríos Enríquez in the men's category without pets, Ximena López González in the women's category without pets, Alejandro Villanueva Martínez in the men's category with pets, and Yenifer Bueno López in the women's category with pets. Registration fees from the event are intended to support animal welfare initiatives.
