IAPEM awards 37 municipal projects in Estado de México
During the 53rd anniversary of the Institute of Public Administration of the State of Mexico (IAPEM), Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez presented the 2025 Municipal Management Awards to 37 projects from 29 municipalities. The awards recognize innovation and effectiveness in public services and community needs.
Key municipal achievements include:
• Metepec: Received six distinctions, including first place for 'Médico en tu Casa' and municipal regulations. • Atizapán de Zaragoza: Honored for the 'Intermunicipal Route to Eradicate Child Labor,' as well as projects in public security, gender perspective in policing, and water management. • Tlalnepantla: Earned five recognitions, including a mental health care center and a real-time budget monitoring tool. • Nicolás Romero: Recognized for its mental health center (CEMUSAME) and school infrastructure programs.
Governor Gómez emphasized that professionalizing public servants is essential for strengthening institutions and ensuring that government actions directly address the needs of families in the State of Mexico. She proposed organizing forums to allow award-winning local governments to share best practices with other municipalities.
