Metković celebrates Crni put victory at Marathon of Boats

The city of Metković hosted ‘Champion’s Night’ at the Metković Port to celebrate the victory of the Crni put Boatmen Association at this year’s Marathon of Boats. The event served as a celebration of the team’s sporting achievement and a way for the local community to show support.

During the ceremony, the winning team arrived at the port in their victorious boat to the applause of gathered citizens. A central moment of the evening was the raising of Prince Domagoj’s transitional shield, a traditional symbol of victory in the Marathon of Boats.

The program included speeches from Marathon of Boats President Luka Oršulić, Crni put Association President Mile Senta, Metković Mayor Dalibor Milan, and County Head Žaklina Marević. Musical performances featured artists such as Mladen Grdović, Giuliano, Klapa Šufit, and Mate Bulić.
