METLEN supports S.K.E.P. disability awareness program in 84 schools

METLEN is continuing its five-year support of the S.K.E.P. Educational Program for Social Awareness of Disability, titled ‘Learning to See the Human’. The initiative aims to promote inclusion and dismantle stereotypes through direct engagement.

Between January and June 2026, the program organized 120 lectures across 84 schools in Attica, Lamia, and Tripoli, reaching a total of 6,063 students. These sessions included dialogue and experiential meetings with speakers and facilitators living with disabilities, covering topics such as disability rights and social justice.

In response to requests from educators for more sustained engagement, a new ‘Inclusion Week’ initiative was launched this year. This program was implemented in five schools across various educational levels, involving entire school units in experiential workshops. In collaboration with Guide Dogs Greece, students participated in activities such as the ‘Inclusive Design Challenge’ to examine school accessibility and learn about universal design.
