METLEN's M Technologies Hub Transforms Volos Industrial Landscape

METLEN is rapidly expanding its M Technologies Hub in Volos, turning the historic industrial city into a high‑technology defence manufacturing centre. The complex now spans over 100,000 sq m across six units, adding capabilities for raw‑material processing, production, assembly and support of sophisticated industrial and defence applications. The hub’s growth is accelerated beyond the schedule presented at METLEN’s Capital Markets Day, with a fourth unit already operating and two more planned, signalling swift progress of the investment plan.

Strategically located with direct access to the port, rail network, major highways and an airport, the Volos site links domestic output to European supply chains, enhancing the region’s attractiveness for further high‑value industrial projects and positioning it as a modern European production node for defence programmes.
