Metán woman dies after brutal assault by partner

Cintia Díaz Orellana, a 21-year-old woman, has died following a brutal assault by her partner in Metán, Argentina. The victim was found unconscious in a public area with severe injuries, including a skull fracture and multiple facial fractures, after an argument at a dance venue.

Following the attack, Díaz Orellana was treated at the Del Carmen Hospital before being transferred to the San Bernardo Hospital in Salta Capital for specialized care. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. She leaves behind a four-year-old child.

The primary suspect, 26-year-old Gastón Ramírez, was detained after reporting the incident to the police. The investigation, overseen by Prosecutor Nicolás Rodríguez López, is ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the violence. Funeral services are scheduled to take place in Metán.
