Metro Cash & Carry Romania has initiated a product recall for a specific batch of Metro Chef Brie 60% cheese following the detection of Listeria monocytogenes. The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) has issued an alert advising consumers not to consume the product.

The affected item is a 1kg package (EAN 3439495901672) supplied by Sasu Paturages Comtois, with an expiration date of September 23, 2026.

Consumers who have purchased this product are urged to return it to any Metro Cash & Carry Romania location by September 22, 2026, to receive a full refund. Authorities have not yet reported any specific illnesses related to this batch.
