Metro Conference announces 2026-27 men's basketball schedule

The Metro Conference has announced its men's basketball league schedule for the 2026-27 season. Each participating team will compete in a 20-game conference slate, with the top 10 teams qualifying for the conference tournament held in Atlantic City.

The season is set to begin on December 2 with a matchup between Saint Peter's and Manhattan. Opening weekend also features a high-profile rematch between regular-season champions Merrimack and tournament champions Siena on December 4. This game will mark the Metro Conference debut for Siena's new head coach, Nevada Smith.

Under the scheduling format, teams will play eight programs both at home and away, while facing two specific teams only at home and two others only on the road. Quinnipiac University's schedule includes an opener against Iona on December 4, followed by a home game against Siena on December 6.
