Spanish public transport undergoes route changes and service closures

Public transportation services in several Spanish cities are undergoing significant changes due to maintenance, construction, and route reorganizations.

In Madrid, Metro Line 6 will experience 48-hour closures between Lucero and Cuatro Caminos on the weekends of September 26-27 and October 3-4. To mitigate the impact, the EMT will provide a free special bus service (SE6) running between Laguna and Cuatro Caminos, with frequencies of 3 to 5 minutes during peak hours. Additionally, the Cercanías C-5 line recently faced delays and service modifications due to high temperatures affecting railway equipment and a train breakdown in Alcorcón.

In Sevilla, the Tussam Line 27 will change its route starting September 28. Following the expansion of the TB1 tramway, the line will now terminate at Prado de San Sebastián instead of the Casco Antiguo, providing more direct connections to major transport hubs.

In Málaga, construction on the Metro extension will cause temporary route changes for EMT lines 15 and 18 starting September 29, diverting traffic to Avenida de Barcelona near the Eugenio Gross area.
