Metro Detroit cider mills begin 2026 seasonal openings

Cider mills across the Metro Detroit area are beginning their 2026 seasonal openings, offering traditional autumn activities such as fresh-pressed cider, donuts, apple picking, and corn mazes.

Several locations are already operational, including Yates Cider Mill, Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill, Blake’s Lyon Township, Long Family Orchards, Spicer Orchards, Westview Orchards, and Pankiewicz Cider Mill. Early season openings included Apple Charlie's South Huron Orchards on August 1, Diehl's Orchard & Cider Mill on August 15, and Damouni Orchard on August 21.

Upcoming openings scheduled for late August and September include Parmenter’s Northville Cider Mill and Plymouth Orchards & Cider Mill on August 29, Rochester Cider Mill and The Dexter Cider Mill on August 28, Three Cedars Farm on September 4, Franklin Cider Mill on September 5, Stony Creek Orchard & Cider on September 11, and Wiard's Orchards on September 12. Visitors are encouraged to check individual schedules as weather and crop conditions may impact operating hours.
