METRO Serbia hosts Gastro Trends event to discuss culinary development

The METRO Gastro Trends 2027 event, organized by METRO Serbia, brought together over 700 professionals from the HoReCa sector, including chefs, owners, and managers, to discuss the future of the Serbian culinary scene.

During a panel discussion featuring prominent chefs, experts concluded that Serbia possesses the potential to become a regional gastronomic leader. To achieve this, participants emphasized the need for systemic development rather than relying on individual successes. Key requirements for growth include the promotion of local ingredients and traditional dishes, improved professional education, stable supply chains, and a stronger connection between gastronomy and tourism.
