Metrobank celebrates 64 years of service and digital evolution

Metrobank is celebrating its 64th anniversary, marking over six decades of service to the Philippine economy and its citizens. To commemorate the milestone, the bank has launched various promotional offers and rewards for its customers throughout September.

Credit cardholders can access cashback incentives for local purchases, travel, and airline transactions. Additional retail and dining deals include discounts at Shopee, Power Mac Center, Vikings Group, and various food outlets. The bank is also incentivizing new savings through special offers for first-time eSavings account holders.

Reflecting on the institution's history since 1962, Metrobank President Fabian Dee emphasized the bank's evolution from traditional teller-based transactions to digital smartphone banking. Dee noted that the bank remains focused on maintaining financial strength, capital, and liquidity to support customers through changing market conditions and economic uncertainty.
