Metropolis of Aetolia and Acarnania holds Holy Scripture study meeting

Metropolitan Damaskinos of Aetolia and Acarnania convened a gathering of coordinators for the Parish Holy Scripture Study Circles on September 25, 2026, at the Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi in Agrinio.

Archimandrite Daniil Aerakis, a preacher from the Metropolis of Nicaea, served as the keynote speaker. He presented on the topic ‘Catechetical Messages from the Acts of the Apostles,’ emphasizing the book's enduring value as a fundamental source for modern ecclesiastical instruction. Aerakis highlighted the roles of the Apostle Paul and Evangelist Luke, while expressing concern regarding the perceived decline of catechetical schools. He urged both clergy and laity to revitalize their educational work through the study of apostolic texts.
