Metropolitan Andrei addresses pilgrims at Nicula Monastery

Metropolitan Andrei of Cluj, Maramureș, and Sălaj addressed tens of thousands of pilgrims during the feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God at Nicula Monastery on August 15.

In his sermon, titled ‘Prayer and Work’, the Metropolitan emphasized the necessity of balancing spiritual devotion with daily labor, citing the biblical figures of Mary and Martha. He noted that the two elements must intertwine, particularly within the Christian family.

The liturgical service was attended by a group of clergy, including Bishop Nestor of Deva and Hunedoara, and Bishop Nectarie, the Orthodox Bishop of Ireland and Iceland. During the service, prayers were offered for rain, the cessation of war, and peace.
