Metropolitan Arsenios Leads Divine Liturgy at Austrian Monastery of Saint Païsios

On Sunday, 12 July 2026, Metropolitan Arsenios of Austria presided over an Archiepiscopal Divine Liturgy at the Holy Monastery of Saint Skepes and Saint Païsios of the Holy Resurrection in Sankt Andrä am Zicksee, Austria. The service was attended by monks Jacob Giannopoulos and Andreas Bola, as well as Archdeacon Georgios Meleshko, and drew a large number of faithful.

During the homily the Metropolitan reflected on the healing of a paralytic mentioned in the Gospel reading, emphasizing that Christ forgives sins rather than merely curing physical ailments. He linked the paralytic’s condition to a deeper spiritual paralysis and described the liturgy’s role in restoring believers to communion with God through divine grace.
