Metropolitan Atanasije leads religious services in Prijepolje and Priboj

Metropolitan Atanasije of Milješevo conducted several religious services in the regions of Prijepolje and Priboj in September 2026.

In Prijepolje, a prayer service was held at the Cathedral Church of Saint Basil of Ostrog to mark the beginning of the new school year. The service included students, parents, and teachers. During his address, Metropolitan Atanasije emphasized the importance of hard work and the role of education as a light to the world, offering blessings and school supplies to the children.

In Priboj, the Metropolitan celebrated the Feast of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist with a Holy Hierarchical Liturgy at the Church of Saint Prince Lazar. Following the liturgy, he delivered a sermon on the faith and perseverance of Saint John the Baptist, encouraging the faithful to keep Christ at the center of their lives.
