Jujuy and Salta leaders demand mandatory northern railway inclusion
In Jujuy, Argentina, regional leaders from Jujuy and Salta are coordinating to demand that the national government include the C14 and C15 railway branches as mandatory components in upcoming privatization tenders. Officials, including Vice Governor Alberto Bernis and leader Bettina Romero, argue that these lines are essential for the connectivity and productivity of the Norte Grande region, particularly for the mining, livestock, and agricultural sectors.
Separately, the Jujuy Legislature held its ninth ordinary session, addressing a citizen-led project regarding electricity service reform and user protections. The session also included resolutions requesting national compliance with disability emergency laws.
In San Salvador de Jujuy, the National Education Fair in Science, Technology, Arts, and Mathematics is being hosted, bringing students and teachers from across the country to showcase artistic and scientific projects. Additionally, local authorities in the Huaico neighborhood have implemented bus route diversions due to road damage on Avenida Bolivia.
