Metropolitan Hieronymos visits Psychiko parish

Metropolitan Hieronymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos presided over a Divine Liturgy at the Holy Church of Agios Athanasios in Psychiko on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Psychiko, a village in the Thessalian plain with approximately 50 permanent residents, was noted for the piety of its inhabitants and their dedication to maintaining the churches inherited from their ancestors. During his sermon, the Metropolitan emphasized the importance of divine blessing over pure logic and scientific reasoning, citing the biblical example of Peter’s obedience to Christ.

Following the service, the Metropolitan met with the Parish Council to discuss local church matters. He expressed satisfaction with the council's cooperation and their sacrificial service to the Church.
