Metropolitan Ierinios conducts services in Eordaia, Greece

On 13 June 2026, Metropolitan Ierinios of Florina, Prespes and Eordaia presided over the funeral service for the late blessed priest Eleftherios Palamas at the Holy Temple of Saint Christopher in the village of Eordaia. Local clergy, the mayor Panagiotis Plakendas, community leaders and faithful attended to pray for the priest’s soul.

Eight days later, on 21 June 2026, the same metropolitan celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Ascension in Perdika, Eordaia. Representatives of municipal authorities and parishioners were present, and the sermon emphasized spiritual purity and trust in divine providence.

Both events highlighted the metropolitan’s role in the regional Orthodox community and attracted participation from local officials and residents.
