Metropolitan Ignatios of Demetrias leads ecclesiastical year services

Metropolitan Ignatios of Demetrias presided over religious services marking the beginning of the new ecclesiastical year. During a ceremony at the Thessaly Convention Center, the Metropolitan addressed the clergy and administrative staff, praising their service to the community and noting the modern facilities that support the Metropolis's operations.

During the event, Metropolitan Ignatios honored Dimitra Karambela for her 40 years of dedicated service to the Holy Metropolis upon her retirement. As a gesture of gratitude, he presented her with the Holy Icon of Panagia Xenias and the local saints.

In a separate service held at the Church of the Assumption of the Lord in Achilleio of Almouros, the Metropolitan delivered a sermon focused on the importance of faith, spiritual strength, and Christian unity. He emphasized that true faith requires resisting the spirit of the age and acting with love, noting that unity is achieved through the Holy Eucharist.
