Metropolitan Joanikije presents new book in Podgorica

Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral officially presented his new book, ‘The Spirit Breathes Where It Wills’, during the sixth annual ‘Days of Metropolitan Amphilohije’ in Podgorica. The event, held in the crypt of the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, featured speakers including Archpriest Nikola Pejović, writer Budimir Dubak, and Professor Lidija Tomić.

The book explores themes of theology, literature, and historical memory, with specific focus on the legacy of Petar II Petrović-Njegoš and his chapel on Mount Lovćen. The program included musical performances by folk guslar Maksim Vojvodić and the ‘Saint Apostle and Evangelist Mark’ children's choir.

In a separate religious observance, Metropolitan Joanikije also presided over a Holy Liturgy at the Temple of Saint Basil of Ostrog and Saint Peter of Herzegovina in Foča to mark the 30th anniversary of the reopening of the Saint Peter of Herzegovina Theological Seminary.
