Metropolitan Prodrōmos of Rethymno Leads Saint Paul Feast in Crete

On Sunday, 28 June 2026, Metropolitan Prodrōmos of Rethymno and Avlopotamos celebrated the feast of the Holy Apostle Paul at the Holy Metochion of Saint Paul the French, part of the Patriarchal and Crusader Monastery of Arcadia. He led the Divine Liturgy, accompanied by clergy and the Archimandrite Anthimos Matzouranis. The sermon was delivered by Archimandrite Basilios Papadakis, who reflected on the apostle’s teachings about death and freedom.

The following morning, Monday, 29 June 2026, the Metropolitan responded to an invitation from Metropolitan Ioakeim of Laba, Syvrits and Sfakians and presided over the Orthros and a joint Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Paul in Spili. Several other metropolitans, including those of Kisa, Selinous, Petra, Chersonissos and Ierinaios, participated in the service and delivered homilies.
