Metropolitan Teofan addresses youth at ITOM 2026 in Piatra Neamț

Approximately 1,000 participants from Moldova gathered in the center of Piatra Neamț for the second day of the Orthodox Youth Meeting of Moldova (ITOM 2026). During the event, Metropolitan Teofan of Moldova and Bucovina officiated a Holy Liturgy on the esplanade of the Princely Court.

In his address to the youth, Metropolitan Teofan encouraged participants to pursue excellence in their studies and professional lives. He used the metaphor of a clean mountain spring to describe the youth, noting that their purity stems from both God and their parents. He urged them to ‘do good in relation to God and do good in relation to people,’ citing the commandments to live truthfully and honorably.
