Metropolitan Theologos addresses societal challenges in Nigrita

During a religious service at the Holy Church of Agios Georgios in Nigrita on October 4, 2026, Metropolitan Theologos of Serres and Nigrita delivered a sermon regarding the ‘Golden Rule’ of human behavior.

Drawing from the Gospel of Luke, the Metropolitan emphasized the principle of treating others as one wishes to be treated. He addressed contemporary societal challenges, stating that the failures and deadlocks within society are the result of human choices and a refusal to follow spiritual teachings, rather than divine fault. He called for individuals, communities, and nations to act as responsible managers of their decisions, emphasizing that respect, truth, and justice must be demonstrated through one's own life and actions.
