Metropolitan Vladimir celebrates liturgy at Chișinău Cathedral on July 5, 2026
On July 5, 2026, the 5th Sunday after Pentecost, Metropolitan Vladimir, head of the Moldovan Orthodox Church, officiated the Holy Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Birth of the Lord in Chișinău. The service included the Gospel reading from Matthew 8:28‑34 and 9:1, describing the healing of the two demoniacs in the region of Gadara.
Later the same day, Bishop Filaret, Vicar of the Metropolis and Bishop of Căpriana, led the Divine Liturgy at the Voievodal Monastery “Dormition of the Mother of God” in Căpriana, also focusing on the same Gospel passage. Both ceremonies gathered clergy, deacons, and worshippers to commemorate the biblical healing narrative.
