Metropolitan women's field hockey championship enters final stages

The Metropolitan women's field hockey championship enters its final stages with several key matchups scheduled across various divisions. Santa Bárbara “A” aims to solidify its position at the top of the First Division table as it hosts Banco Provincia. Having already secured a playoff spot and recently reaching the Copa Buenos Aires final, the Gonnet-based team holds 44 points compared to their opponent's 29.

In the Primera E division, Estudiantes “B” faces a critical match against Ciudad “D”. To maintain a chance of advancing to the final two rounds of the tournament, Estudiantes must win and hope that their direct rival, Los Matreros “B”, fails to earn points.

Other notable fixtures include Estudiantes “A” visiting Alemanes de Quilmes in the Primera D2 division, where the Quilmes side is competing for the title. The weekend's schedule also features matches involving Universitario, Gimnasia, and various other clubs within the Asociación Amateur de Hockey sobre césped de Buenos Aires.
