Metropolitana group reports high profits for the Slovenian Catholic Church

The annual report for the Metropolitana group reveals high profits within the business operations of the Slovenian Catholic Church. The group, which serves as the core of the Archdiocese of Ljubljana's business interests, includes the central company Metropolitana alongside Gozdno gospodarstvo Bled, Pokljuka, and the Italian entity GG Bled Italija Srl.

Through these companies, the Archdiocese manages extensive real estate holdings, particularly forests in Pokljuka, Jelovica, and the Upper Savinja Valley. The 2025 report indicates that the Archdiocese of Ljubljana, under the leadership of Stanislav Zore, paid itself 4 million euros in dividends from these companies last year.
