Metrópoles Game Festival to host esports and cosplay events in Brasília

The Metrópoles Game Festival will take place from August 21 to 23 at the Arena Mané Garrincha in Brasília. Organized by Grupo Metrópoles, the event offers free admission to the public and free registration for participants across more than 25 gaming modalities.

Competitions include digital and analog categories, covering PC, consoles, mobile devices, and tabletop games. Major titles such as Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, League of Legends, Dota 2, and Free Fire will feature online qualifying rounds prior to the festival. The event will also host specialized areas, including a competitive arena with live narration, a FreePlay arena for testing new releases, and a TCG arena for games like Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Pokémon.

Additionally, the festival will host the regional selection for the World Cosplay Summit (WCS) – Brazil Stage 2027 on August 22. This competition seeks to select two duos to compete for a national title and a chance to represent Brazil at the international final in Nagoya, Japan.
