Metso to acquire pump technologies from Valmet

Metso has signed an agreement to acquire peristaltic hose pump and progressive cavity pump technologies from Valmet. The deal includes the associated aftermarket spare parts and service capabilities.

The acquisition is intended to strengthen Metso’s slurry handling portfolio, specifically for demanding mining and industrial applications involving abrasive, corrosive, or viscous slurries. These technologies are used in processes such as thickener underflow, filter feed, and flocculant dosing.

Metso plans to integrate the acquired products, which are currently sold under the Flowrox brand, into its own portfolio and rebrand them under the Metso name. The transaction is expected to close on October 1, 2026. Metso stated the acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on its financial performance.
