Mette Frederiksen rejects unsolicited cosmetic advice from surgeon

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has publicly rejected unsolicited cosmetic advice from a plastic surgeon. After returning from a diplomatic visit to Ukraine, where she experienced air raid sirens, Frederiksen shared a screenshot on Instagram of a message from an unidentified male surgeon offering to ‘fix that little spot on her nose.’

Frederiksen responded firmly, stating, ‘I am happy with my body and really don't need a male plastic surgeon to have an opinion on it!’ She expressed frustration over the frequent, superficial comments she receives regarding her appearance, including remarks about her teeth, hair, and skin.

The Prime Minister noted that such comments are a recurring burden for women in high-profile public positions. She encouraged those who wish to contact her to focus on more meaningful and substantive topics rather than her physical appearance.
