MeTV Toons announces new fall animation schedule

MeTV Toons has announced its new fall programming lineup, set to begin on Monday, September 21. A major highlight of the new schedule is the return of a newly restored version of ‘The Quick Draw McGraw Show’ to free broadcast television for the first time in decades.

According to Neal Sabin, vice-chairman of Weigel Broadcasting Co., the restoration of the series was produced by Warner Bros. Discovery to address previous rights and materials issues. The series will feature segments including Snooper and Blabber, Augie Doggie, and Doggie Daddy.

Other weekday additions include ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ at 8:00 am and the debut of ‘Cartoon Carousel’ at 10:00 am, a block featuring various rarely seen animated series such as ‘Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels’ and ‘Dynomutt, Dog Wonder’. The afternoon and late-night schedules will also feature titles such as ‘Woody Woodpecker & Casper Hour’, ‘Heathcliff’, ‘Taz-Mania’, and ‘The Super Mario Bros. Super Show’.
