Metz Fêtes de la Mirabelle festival attracts 80,000 visitors

The Fêtes de la Mirabelle festival in Metz has concluded, drawing a total of over 80,000 visitors throughout its various events. A highlight of the festivities was the fifth edition of the aquatic parade on the Moselle river, which featured 25 dragon boats decorated with more than 100,000 dahlias. The parade, themed around the Amazon, saw record attendance with between 10,000 and 15,000 spectators lining the banks.

The event required significant community mobilization, involving 400 volunteers and 230 participants from various clubs and associations across the Grand Est and Lyon regions. The festival's closing ceremonies included a free concert featuring Benjamin Biolay.
