Metz railway station ranks in top five of France's favorite monuments
The Metz railway station has been named one of the top five favorite monuments in France for 2026. Representing the Grand Est region, the station secured fifth place in the national ranking broadcast on France 3.
Constructed between 1904 and 1908, the station is noted for its monumental architecture and its historical ties to the German period in Metz. It has previously been recognized in several SNCF competitions as one of the most beautiful stations in France.
The top honor for 2026 was awarded to the Roger Salengro Art Deco swimming pool located in Bruay-la-Buissière. The Metz station placed ahead of other notable sites, including the Pic du Midi and the Petit Trianon.
