Metz to host Grande Braderie with thematic street markets

The Grande Braderie de Metz is scheduled to take place on August 28 and 29 in the city center. Organized by the new merchant federation, Les Vitrines de Metz, the event aims to create a festive atmosphere to strengthen the bond between local residents and shop owners.

Friday, August 28, will focus on exclusive offers and previews from local merchants, with no outdoor exhibitors scheduled for the first day. The city has agreed to offer half-price parking from Friday to Saturday to support the event.

Saturday, August 29, will feature an open-air market organized across six thematic streets: Rue Serpenoise for street vendors, Rue des Clercs for urban style, Rue de la Tête d’Or for artisans and creators, Rue du Palais for garage sales, Rue Fournirue for second-hand and vintage items, and Rue Chaplerue for families and children. The second day will include outdoor exhibitors, musical performances from DJs and orchestras, quality fast food, and various workshops and contests.
