Agents from the French Biodiversity Agency discovered several dead deer and wild boars in the Bourbeau plain, near Grimaucourt-en-Woëvre in the Meuse department. The discovery, made following an incident occurring between Friday and Saturday night, shows all the characteristics of an illegal poaching act.
The Meuse Hunters' Federation has announced its intention to join the legal proceedings as a civil party. The organization emphasized that these clandestine killings are fundamentally different from regulated hunting, which is managed through official hunting plans and prefectural authorizations to control wildlife populations and mitigate agricultural damage.
