MEXC partners with Bybit EU to migrate Dutch users amid regulatory exit
MEXC has partnered with Bybit EU to facilitate the migration of its Dutch users following the enforcement of the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulations. The Seychelles-registered exchange is winding down its operations in the Netherlands after being flagged by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) for operating without proper authorization.
MEXC has recommended that affected users move their assets to Bybit EU, which secured MiCA authorization from Austria’s Financial Market Authority (FMA) in May 2025. This compliance allows Bybit EU to operate across the European Economic Area. The platform supports over 115 tokens and offers direct euro deposits and withdrawals via the iDEAL and SEPA frameworks.
Users are advised to migrate their funds before the scheduled exit deadlines, which include October 23, 2026, for a full exit from the Netherlands. Other compliant alternatives for Dutch investors include Bitvavo, OKX, and Kraken.
