The fourth edition of the Octubre Rosa race has been announced in Mexicali, Baja California. Organized by Dr. David Paredes Nevárez, the event aims to raise funds for the Fundación Mujeres que Viven to support women fighting breast cancer.
The race is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, starting at 7:00 a.m. from Avenida Álvaro Obregón and Calle E. Participants can choose from three distances: a 1 km route for survivors and children, and 5 km or 10 km routes for open male and female categories. Registration fees are set at $200 pesos for the 1 km and 5 km distances, and $250 pesos for the 10 km distance.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the foundation. The race has a limited capacity of 2,500 participants, and registration includes a competitor number, an official shirt, and a commemorative medal.
