Mexican agricultural authorities distribute aid to rural producers

Agricultural and rural development agencies in the Mexican states of Hidalgo and Jalisco have distributed financial and material support to local producers to bolster farming activities and mitigate losses.

In Hidalgo, the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (Saderh) allocated over 3.5 million pesos to 476 producers across seven municipalities, including Zapotlán de Juárez, Tizayuca, and Pachuca. The aid includes family garden packages, seeds, livestock, and fruit trees. Officials stated the resources are intended to be delivered directly and transparently to support rural economies and women's economic autonomy.

In Jalisco, the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER) provided aid to 50 farmers in Poncitlán following crop damage caused by heavy hailstorms. This initial distribution is part of efforts to help producers recover from meteorological phenomena. Local authorities indicated that a second round of support is planned to assist additional affected farmers through programs such as the Jalisco Fund for Agro-food Contingencies.
