Sinaloa security operations yield arsenal and drug lab seizure

Mexican federal authorities conducted multiple security operations across Sinaloa, resulting in the seizure of significant weaponry and the dismantling of a drug production site. In coordinated efforts involving the Mexican Army, National Guard, and Navy, officials targeted the municipalities of Concordia, Culiacán, and Mazatlán.

During these raids, security forces seized an arsenal that included a Barrett .50 caliber rifle, six long guns, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Additionally, authorities discovered 172 improvised explosive devices and approximately 300 kilograms of explosives in the El Rosario municipality. In Culiacán, a clandestine laboratory used for manufacturing synthetic drugs was neutralized, with 2,450 liters of chemical substances confiscated.

In a separate incident in the state, a family of six, including four minors, was reported missing while traveling from Guamúchil to Mazatlán. After concerns grew regarding their disappearance near the Alhuey toll booth, the family was located safe and has returned to their home in Mazatlán. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding their loss of communication.

In Guamúchil, military personnel also detained two youths during an operation in the Valle Bonito sector following the discovery of suspected narcotics.
