Mexican authorities arrest 11 suspected Sinaloa cartel members

Mexican federal and state security forces carried out coordinated operations in nine municipalities of Sinaloa, detaining 11 individuals alleged to be generators of violence for the Sinaloa cartel, including a probable regional leader known as Iván "N".

The raids seized more than 35 firearms—including a Barrett rifle—over 250 kilos of chemical precursors for methamphetamine production, explosives, ballistic plates, armor vests and several vehicles. Authorities estimate the economic impact on organized crime at roughly 110 million pesos.

The actions involved the Mexican Army, Navy, Federal Police and the Attorney General's Office acting jointly with state police, highlighting an intensified crackdown on cartel-related violence in the region.
