Mexican authorities arrest alleged CJNG leader in Puebla

Oaxaca state prosecutors, in coordination with federal and Puebla state authorities, have arrested R. C. V., known as “Cadeza,” in the Villa Deportiva neighborhood of Puebla. The individual is considered a high-priority criminal target and is allegedly a plaza boss for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in the Cuenca del Papaloapan region, specifically covering the municipalities of Loma Bonita and Tuxtepec.

An arrest warrant was executed against R. C. V. for the crime of aggravated kidnapping. Intelligence reports suggest the suspect has been active since 2022, operating under the faction known as “Empresa de la Cuenca” under the command of W. M. M., also known as “El Bistec” or “El 84.” He is allegedly linked to extortion networks, drug trafficking, vehicle theft, and forced control in the region.
