Mexican authorities arrest “La Reina del Sur de Tlaxcala”

Authorities arrested María Guadalupe N., identified as “La Reina del Sur de Tlaxcala,” during an eight-hour operation in the San Lucas neighborhood of Huamantla, Tlaxcala. The raid, conducted by the Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) with support from the National Guard, the Army, and state security forces, was part of a federal investigation into drug trafficking.

In addition to María Guadalupe N., two other individuals were detained. During the search of the residence on 21 de Marzo Street, officials seized firearms and doses of drugs. Two minors present at the location were placed under protective custody.

Authorities indicate that María Guadalupe N. is allegedly linked to David Daniel N., alias “El Jarocho,” who was arrested in July. “El Jarocho” is identified as the leader of “Los Jarochos,” a cell reportedly connected to the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG). The group is suspected of involvement in kidnapping, vehicle theft, extortion, and drug trafficking across Tlaxcala, Puebla, Veracruz, and the State of Mexico.
