Mexican Authorities Arrest Suspects in Vehicle Theft and 2014 Murder Cases

The State of Mexico's Fiscalía General de Justicia obtained a court order and arrested Ángel Ernesto, identified as “N”, for a violent vehicle robbery that occurred on July 21 in the Chocolín neighborhood of Chimalhuacán. Prosecutors say he and an accomplice blocked the victim’s Italika scooter, threatened him with a firearm and stole the vehicle. He was detained, placed in a penitentiary center and held on preventive detention while the investigation continues.

Separately, the Sonora Attorney General’s Office, in cooperation with Baja California authorities, captured Arnoldo “Nolo”, a 46‑year‑old fugitive wanted for a pre‑meditated homicide committed in May 2014 in the Cuchujaqui ejido of Álamos, Sonora. He was arrested on a street in Tecate, Baja California, and transferred to Sonora to face trial for the murder of Guillermo N. The operation highlights inter‑state coordination to bring high‑impact criminal suspects to justice.
