Zacatecas authorities arrest two municipal security directors

In a coordinated operation involving federal and state forces, authorities in Zacatecas arrested four individuals, including the sitting public security directors of the Momax and Río Grande municipalities.

José Miguel “N”, the director of security for Momax, was detained in Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román for alleged criminal facilitation. During the search, officials seized a fragmentation grenade, magazines, cartridges, and narcotics.

In Río Grande, José Alonso “N”, the municipal security director, was arrested on an arrest warrant for aggravated kidnapping. A subsequent search led to the detention of Raúl “N”. Both men are under investigation for aggravated kidnapping and extortion, allegedly targeting livestock producers.

These arrests are part of a broader strategy to purge municipal police forces of criminal infiltration and address high-priority security targets within the state.
