Mexican authorities conduct extensive search in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua

On June 10, a coordinated operation led by the Local Search Commission of the Chihuahua State Attorney General's Office took place in the Mesa de la Avena area of the Ejido Ignacio Zaragoza, Casas Grandes municipality. The effort, stemming from agreements made on May 21 with the Center for Women's Human Rights (CEDEHM) and other agencies, deployed a criminal‑forensic drone for aerial reconnaissance, followed by on‑ground verification and interviews with a local ranch worker. Teams included specialists from the Special Search Group, public prosecutors, forensic anthropologists, the State Investigation Agency, the National Search Commission, a canine unit, and personnel from the State Public Security Secretariat. Photogrammetry was used to detect subsurface anomalies, but no criminal or biological evidence was found. The operation concluded without locating the missing individuals.
