Mexican authorities detain suspects in high‑end car theft and health‑center robbery
State police in the State of Mexico arrested a 37‑year‑old man identified as Óscar “N”, alias “El Dilan”, after a surveillance operation linked him to a violent theft of a luxury vehicle in the Michoacana neighborhood of Metepec on June 26. He was found carrying an improvised firearm and a bag of marijuana and was placed in the custody of the public prosecutor’s office.
In a separate incident, municipal police captured a 35‑year‑old man known as Alejandro, alias “El Chiapaneco”, who had broken into the former health center in the El Progreso colonia. After a foot chase through several streets, officers apprehended him at the intersection of 10 de Mayo and 4 de Julio. He is being held pending investigation into the stolen items and damages to the building.
