Mexican authorities distribute medical aids and vision care

Government agencies in Mexico have launched initiatives to provide essential medical aids to vulnerable populations. In Baja California, the DIF system, in coordination with the National Administration of Public Beneficence Heritage, distributed 243 pairs of prescription glasses to residents in Mexicali. The program included personalized visual assessments by optometrists to ensure precise graduations for children, workers, and seniors.

In Quintana Roo, Governor Mara Lezama and the National Administration of Public Beneficence Heritage delivered various supports to 462 people across five municipalities, including Benito Juárez and Cancún. This initiative involved a federal investment of over 4.6 million pesos and provided wheelchairs, hearing aids, functional supports such as canes and walkers, and breast prostheses for women who have undergone cancer treatment.
