Mexican authorities investigate homicide in Sonora and assault in Coahuila

Authorities in Mexico are investigating two separate violent incidents. In Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, the State Attorney General's Office (FGJES) is investigating the homicide of 37-year-old José Luis “N”, also known as content creator “El Piturris”. The victim was shot while working at a taquería in the Reforma neighborhood. Investigators recovered two .40 caliber shell casings at the scene, and the suspects fled on a motorcycle.

In Monclova, Coahuila, the State Attorney General's Office is investigating a deliberate vehicular assault following a personal dispute. A 45-year-old man, identified as Francisco, is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle. Authorities believe the suspect, Edwin Calixto, returned to the scene after a verbal argument to intentionally hit the victim. Calixto is currently a fugitive.
