Mexico authorities prosecute kidnapping, fraud, and homicide cases

Authorities in Mexico have processed several criminal cases involving violence, fraud, and kidnapping. In Culiacán, Sinaloa, four individuals—José Roberto “N”, Luis Gerardo “N”, Lucio “N”, and José Antonio “N”—were linked to a process for the disappearance of a man and a woman. The suspects allegedly used firearms to force the victims into a stolen vehicle, which was later intercepted by the Mexican Army following a pursuit.

In Querétaro, Luis Miguel “N” was linked to a process for specific fraud after allegedly collecting money to manage an alcohol license for an establishment in El Pueblito without actually performing the requested administrative tasks. He remains in justified preventive detention.

Other recent legal actions include the prosecution of Cristian Eduardo “N” in Tecate for the qualified homicide of two individuals, and the indictment of Alberto Ángel “N” in Cabo San Lucas for aggravated assault involving a knife attack. Additionally, the Sinaloa State Attorney General's Office reported a 7.43 percent increase in rape investigations in 2026 compared to the previous year, totaling 289 cases through September.
